Effectively Using Social Media To Drive Campus Action & Sustainability

Cheli Cresswell, Danielle Brigida and Angela Peoples are all strategically involved in maintaing the online presences of nonprofits that work with college students to help empower them to fight climate change, and are deeply invested in researching and implementing new tools and strategies to maximize the effectiveness and impact of our various social media channels.

Together we will offer tips and examples from our own experiences to help participants with their own social media -- Danielle with several years' experience directing the social media for a large national organization, Cheli with her journey during the last year to build CampusEcology's online presence more or less from scratch and simultaneously help bring team members up to speed on new tools and strategies, while also building relationships with college students and faculty around the country, and Angela with her tremendous experience and expertise at using new media to facilitate advocacy work among college students.
