Over the course of 4 days, you're going to get to take part in trainings, workshops, panels, and actions; hear from leaders in the environmental movement; and learn how to take these lessons back to your community.

Registration

Registration begins at 12 noon on Friday and will run throughout the weekend, but arrive early so that you can get checked-in and ready for Power Shift!

Opening Keynote

Our opening keynote will set the stage for the Power Shift 2013 -- we’ll give you an overview of the weekend, and start hearing from some of the most exciting movement leaders!

The concert series kicks off with Spank Rock, Nosaj Thing, and Teachers.

Many Fights, One Movement: Environmental Justice Perspectives

The Environmental Justice panels and workshops will provide insight and discussion into the issues and work being done in frontline impacted communities from around the country. Environmental Justice has evolved it has become more than a response to environmental inequities, it offers a maturing vision for the future. The vision of environmental justice is the development of a holistic, bottom up, community based, multi-issue paradigm for achieving healthy and sustainable communities.

Issue Breakouts

Racism, sexism, classism and other forms of oppression continue to impact our society and our movement. During Anti-Oppression trainings we will explore how breakdown oppression and work in collaborative, inclusive ways.

State Breakouts

People will come together by state to develop state-by-state, community-by-community plans and coordination. Each group will have a chance to report on the action they're planning, and we'll identify all the ways we can continue to work together coming out of Power Shift!
