Late Friday night Congress and President Obama ended their standoff; after hours of tense negotiations they agreed to a budget.
Clean Air and the EPA were on the negotiating table but we stood up to the Big Polluter agenda -- and it worked! Thousands of us called on President Obama to not cave to Big Polluters, and with 10,000 of us coming to Washington, DC for Power Shift, President Obama and Congress knew they had to stand strong in this fight.
That’s huge, but we can’t stop here. The budget isn't much to celebrate -- we saved the EPA for now, but Big Polluters are still on the loose, receiving massive handouts, dodging taxes, and polluting our air, all at the expense of our economy and public health.
In just 7 days we will step it up further. On Monday, April 18th we're hitting the streets to set the record straight: it’s time to Make Big Polluters Pay.

April 18th is our opportunity to tell the true story of what's going on in our country.
We’re rallying at the White House to carry over 250,000 voices demanding President Obama stand up to Big Polluters and protect Clean Air -- then we will lead by example and go after the Big Polluters themselves, calling out the Chamber of Commerce for their "money pollution," and BP for leaving a mess in the Gulf and not paying up.
Every generation needs a new revolution. This one is ours.
America.
