Big Oil is threatening to begin construction on the dangerous Keystone XL pipeline as early as next week. Fortunately youth leaders in Texas are organizing people power to stand up to corporate greed with a construction plan of our own: building a human blockade to stop this pipeline.
This weekend Tar Sands Blockade is hosting a skills training and inviting you to stand with us. The Keystone Convergence Direct Action Training begins this Friday, July 27th, in East Texas - so don’t miss out.
This promises to be an action packed training weekend where you’ll learn about direct action organizing and get hands-on experience building technical blockades to halt Keystone XL in its tracks. The training involves camping outdoors in the Texas heat so come prepared for hot weather and take personal medical considerations into account.
