In just 2 short weeks, Southern Energy Network will be hitting up the road and Cleaning Up the Dirty South! We will be teaming up with W(e)VOW, Waste Veggie Oil Wagon, and coming to a city near you. Beginning at Bonnaroo 2012, the bus will travel through Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina and end at the SEN Summer Leadership Summit. Yes! I am saying we're hopping on a Veggie Oil Bus and engaging thousands of people this June!
Along the way, we will be registering young people to vote, educating people about their voter rights, and advocating that this election we vote with the climate! We will be talking to thousands of people to make sure that they are registered to vote, but most importantly that they will vote for a clean energy future. In addition to the electoral work, we will also host parties in each city to celebrate young people who are Cleanin’ Up the Dirty South. Check out where we are going and sign up to help in a city near you!
June 6-10: Bonnaroo, Manchester, TN
June 11: Chattanooga, TN
June 12-13: Athens, GA
June 14-15: Asheville, NC
June 16-17: Knoxville, TN
June 21-24: SEN Summer Leadership Summit, Lebanon, TN
We’ll end the tour in Lebanon, TN where we’ll bring 50 student leaders from across the Southeast for our SEN Summer Leadership Summit. At the summit, students will have the opportunity to train, network, and plan campaigns for the coming fall. As election time approaches, we need student leaders to come in unity to demand climate change solutions.
