Environmental Leader in Missouri: Representative Jason Holsman
I know I kind off fell of the face of the earth BUT its for a good reason!
I got hired to work in the field campaign for Jason Holsman. He has represented South Kansas City and Grandview in the Missouri House of Representatives for the past 6 years and has definitely been a friend to the environmental movement. Holsman is the Ranking Member on the Energy and Environment Committee, the Vice-Chair of the Democratic Policy Committee, a deputy floor whip, and the Recruiting Chair for the House Democrat Campaign Committee.
Representative Holsman is now running to be a State Senator! Thanks to redistricting in the great Show-Me-State, this senate seat which shouldn't have opened up for 2 more years came open early.Jason has been a champion for the environmental movement, First Establishing a Renewable Energy Committee in 2011, and chairing that committee. Sponsoring HB 613 which, Establishes the Renewable Energy Act and repeals the Renewable Energy Standard enacted by Proposition C in 2008, HB 622, Establishes the Solar Water Heating System Incentive Program which provides financial incentives for the purchase and installation of solar water heating systems in private residences, and last but not least HB 839, Establishes the Capital Green Program to provide funding to the state for energy efficiency improvements to certain state buildings and for geothermal, wind, and solar energy resources
