This morning, Rainforest Action Network activists descended on Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC and unfurled a giant banner over the side of the stadium with a new, more appropriate company moniker: “Bank of Coal.”
This bold action comes just days before Bank of America’s annual shareholder meeting in Charlotte.
On May 9th, thousands will converge in Charlotte to send a crystal clear message to BoA executives, board members, and shareholders: Bank of America will be named and shamed for its impact on our climate and the health of our communities until it stops funding the dirty coal industry.
This important event organized by our partners at RAN and a coalition of allies is our chance to take direct action and demand the bank change its outdated, destructive ways. I’ll be there and I hope you’ll join me.
